@aks@scalie.zone @thunderbird@mastodon.online Did you try another monospace font? Some monospace fonts looks smaller than other, at the same size

@molly0xfff There is a good amount of grift in the AI business that is very akin to crypto-bro grift.

@null3r@techhub.social Distros that are not based in the US, and that don't cater to businesses are not likely to implement it. Hell, even community distros outside the California jurisdiction should be able to ignore this (this is not legal advice, I might be completely wrong)
You can now buy a 60K USD "AI workstation", and the case has the shape of a bubble. A literal AI bubble. #ai https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywBnRm5TZJI
@vkc@linuxmom.net The issue of men threatening women with harm and sexual violence for daring to say anything online is so rampant that it's depressing. I would have thought that the moderation going on, on Mastodon, would make it better, but it sadly doesn't seem to be working.
@WeirdWriter@caneandable.social Regulation applies to everyone. i.e. Government suppliers have to comply if they want to get the contract. This will not be different for the Open Source software that will replace the closed source ones.
@realskeleton@pdx.social you can run it from a USB key. It runs in ram and won't install. You can experiment with it that way, and see if your hardware works with it

@jorge@hachyderm.io Yep. If all these app didn't use electron, they would be Windows-only native apps

@GabeMoralesVR@mastodon.social That's the thing, I'm aware of the stats from various sources and I've already seen all these videos, so maybe YouTube knows my tastes and suggest way more of these types of videos to someone who doesn't have a history of watching this type of content.
The Stat Counter Desktop OS monthly market share report used to be quoted a lot by Linux media when it hit above 4% last year, but it has tumbled down since then, and has not made it back to 4% for a long time (the PewDiePie video has no noticeable impact on these stats).
