@zoul Hezky dobře! Osobně bych si přál, aby to vyslyšela i (nezávislá) česká média. 🚨 Jako doomerovi mi tam chyběl ještě jeden důvod - a to sice záložní account pro případ, kdy se platformy resp. USA rozhodnou ovlivňovat vnitrostátní politiku ČR - a začnou shadow-banovat a utahovat šrouby kolem specifických témata jako trans a queer práva, sexuální výchova, potraty, humanitární pomoc, zdravotnictví pro všechny, solidarita atd. Aka.. historický moment a nezisk mlčí, protože dostal ban u GAFAM.

After some experience with Gancio and short tweakings with GoToSocial I can say it is quite hard to set the instance inclusively in the contect of non-English speaking country.

@zoul @Pavlina212 Plus si před pár týdny Page Not Found prošliy tím, že je prostě Meta smazala. Apolena Rychlíková napsala, že je to likvidační. Naštěstí je odblokovali a jede se dál! V něčem mě opravdu nepřestává udivovat ten klid a taky míra absolutní normalizace, že lidi píšou věci jako seggs a přijde jim to důstojné.

For Microsoft you need to get extended validation certificate, which costs like 250Usd per year. That could be one reason.

@jwn@tldr.nettime.org hey Jiawen, there is an AGDX studio at FaVU (https://agdx.info/) that develops and self-hosts some web apps they use. It could be interesting for you. Folks are great. With Tomáš Zato (https://tomasjavurek.cz/) we form a small collective/duo called automatonomy since the last year. However we take it quite slowly, so we do not have much public output yet. We already have a small Gancio instance @info tho. Tomas also co-produces the already mentioned @screensavergallery@tldr.nettime.org.

@hanse_mina Nice turnout, but the organizers missed the elephant in the room. The problem is not the indecency and low culture of the current government, but oligarchization and the rise of fascism in Czechia and elsewhere in the world. One billionaire is the prime minister, another is behind the second party in government... The appeal for decency in politics is nice, but what will really help us is taxing the oligarchs. However, that goes against the anti-communist hearts of the organizers.
