As more people use Signal, I'm facing a fun conundrum: I want to keep my irl and my online identities separate, which Signal actual makes very, very hard to do, because everything is tied to the phone and the number. I do have two phones numbers (which is actually a rather new thing for me), but even then I can't just simply add another account in the same phone.
I know why Signal does this (phone metadata could link the accounts), but it just plain sucks for a user whose threat model isn't that strict.
I now installed Shelter to setup a "work" profile to clone the Signal app. But this means that stuff like my keyboard is different in Signal. Also, if I were to need a third identity / account (which I luckily currently do not), this approach would not work anymore because there can only be a single "private" and "work" profile on the same device. Also, the boilerplate is frankly fucking ridiculous.
I just want furries and online friends to see my fursona as avatar and my family and irl friends to see my real face, god dammit!

What?
Everything I have on offer; see above.
That means animations (up to a certain length/complexity), loops, still renders, turntable renders, custom models, custom VRC avatars, VRC avatar retextures.
How many slots?
A low amount. Exact number depends on what's requested. I don't want to have an overly long queue.
Do I need to be quick to get a slot?
No. I will pick commissions from the list on April 9th. It's not first come first serve.

@chaosthief@mastoart.social That link and your comment were a godsend. I'm currently doing realistic feathers. My initial approach was using meshes (not quite haircards, but close enough) with n-gons (arguably horribly worse). Just watching the video once made me re-evaluate a lot about my approach.
I'm now changing it. The individual feathers are now using curves, and it instantly looks better without even applying textures. Still not going down the fully procedural route though, because I want to have a bit of artistic control (and, well, the sunk-cost fallacy of implementing my own solution, tbh ^^" )

@BryanGreyson I've recently switched to use AV1 always. Out of principle, as you mentioned. Decoding on old devices could at least be hardware-accelerated even if no dedicated hardware chip is available, which should be efficient enough.
Software patents and proprietary codecs suck, and without adoption of open standards, the chip manufacturers will never invest in producing hardware for it. So, while things may suck right now, it will help to make things better in the future.
