@cstross@wandering.shop "For you, it was a soul-gripping moment, lost in the throes between ripping your hair out and screaming in frustration that the Muse would, once again, deny you your rightful glories. For me, it was Tuesday."

@davidrevoy@framapiaf.org Bonus! It's a new adventure every time they wake up. (it stops being fun when the house runs off while they are having said adventure)

@MicroSFF@mastodon.art You laugh now but wait until those cat-ear sensors pick up a pirate lurking in that asteroid belt in plenty of time to get away!

@cstross@wandering.shop Really hope your agent can find interested publishers, these books deserve a chance to shine! There've been so few great space thievery books.

@vicorva@mastodon.art It really is amazing when it all comes together just right! 😻 Thinking of Subnautica, Waking Mars, Aquaria, Heaven's Vault, in the category of games that make you feel like you're living through a great science fiction story.

@vicorva@mastodon.art Games would be fun, but I'm always conscious that making games is a lot more work than it looks like, or I'd have poked at it seriously. I love it when a good game combines story with gameplay that really lets you explore and feel the story.

@bkendig@meow.social It's true, I've got a bunch of "novel-shaped objects" in my trunk. What made a difference for me in finishing projects was deliberately reducing the scope of my ambitions from 'epic series' to 'done in one book.' That slog through the middle is no joking matter, and with an epic story, it's just that much longer.

@kelkyag@wandering.shop @MicroSFF@mastodon.art The sword teases you about being too self-conscious to even find someone to face off against. You'll never become a swordmaster that way!

@cstross@wandering.shop Simple, become the planetary bank! When you, a consumer, lose $100k, it's your problem. When the bank loses the planetary treasury, it's everyone's problem.

@Hexephre@mastodon.art Just browsed through the Cat Facts and the Aesop's Fables, both are cute and charming comics! Good luck with the bills!

@darkoneko@shelter.moe @MicroSFF@mastodon.art Dr. Hunt is evidently the ghost cat whisperer, why else do you think she built the machine? ^.^

@bkendig@meow.social Nice! I didn't think consoles and laptops were meant to be user-serviceable so that's some serious know-how and craftsmanship.
