📢 Wettbewerb! 🥇🎨

Liebe Fedis, liebe Fedilienen,

@volla Interesting approach, but: How does #unifiedattestation ensure every interested other and secure alternative ROM can also pass the test? @GrapheneOS does heavily criticize your approach. They claim it puts you (your project) in charge of controlling which ROMs pass attestation and which do not. Is there any room for a collaboration? It sounds as if #GrapheneOS rules this out, how about you guys from @volla? Any negotiations possible? Any common ground? I, as a user, would just like to use those banking apps without worrying they might stop functioning anytime with any updates. Those banking-app-devs are the real culprits IMHO, to rely on something like Integritycheck theater. @volla is your secret that you will convince banking-app-devs to open up their checks?

@pl@mastodon.social Neither IronFox nor Vanadium show a revoked certificate. They simply show the page and claim the connection is secure.

@ente@fosstodon.org Nice idea, but way too complicated to add missing apps. Come on, perhaps <0.1% of users will open a PR Mail: K9 and Thunderbird are missing, paid hosting (like Hetzner) should be selectable as option Chat: Molly-FOSS is missing, SchildiChat Next is missing (Matrix) Browser: IronFox with uBlock is missing Navigation: MagicEarth & OSMAnd~ is missing Push-Infrastructure: UnifiedPush compatible clients and servers (like NTFY, Sunup, NextPush, ...)

@bigcalm oh, what a surprise that a cloud API #enshittify-ed itself in order to extort money from their dependent users. Who could possibly see that from happening. *surprised pikachu face* Sonoff TRVs with ZigBee are quite OK. I run them with #zigbee2mqtt, only their offset needed adjustment. https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/devices/TRVZB.html
zigbee2mqtt.io

SONOFF TRVZB control via MQTT | Zigbee2MQTT

Integrate your SONOFF TRVZB via Zigbee2MQTT with whatever smart home infrastructure you are using without the vendor

@LisaKalayji@infosec.exchange GrapheneOS will not require any PII at any stage, they made that very clear. So, if a state would like to enforce such (stupid) policy, delinquents will just do what people do in any suppressionous regime, they will circumvent it. First and easiest would be a VPN in less stringent areas of the world
