I was at Mont Fort today, this time taking the cable car, but I still remember the climb up there in winter 2006 as if it were yesterday.
What I saw today was terrifying. The Tortin Glacier is almost gone. The photos aren’t great, but that’s not the point. The first photo was taken in September 2012, and the second one today...
In a world that’s constantly changing, seeing a landscape so wild and preserved from human interference is a rare gift. Just the river, the clouds, and silence. This region will always hold a special place in my heart.

I’ve been away for a while, and I’m afraid I won’t be around as much over the next two weeks.
Spring has definitely arrived in Kraków, even though the weather hasn’t been very kind. Next weekend, I’m heading to the Niepołomice Forest to look for more signs of spring there.

Today, Sunday will not be silent ;) Yesterday, I went to the World Flower Show in Katowice. In addition to a multitude of different plants, from succulents and cacti to orchids, there were also works of art - #bonsai trees. This is one of them... absolutely amazing!

@andre@mastoart.social I went on a week-long trek in the Dolomites, I have wonderful memories, the landscape is unique, and I would love to go back there! I know what you're talking about, even though I didn't go there by bike... all the more respect for your achievement!
@sothawo@social.tchncs.de I understand you perfectly. I have to see this one! Next year, I also hope to revisit the Rhône glacier, which, from what I have read, is deteriorating much quicker.
Climate change is accelerating so quickly now that we will soon be left with nothing but photographs and memories of places like these.
