Ah, you're grand! Don't worry about it! ♥️ Honestly, that's really understandable. Obviously, I can't relate entirely - but I do have a little idea with being from Ireland. I know it's not the same and I probably wouldn't be helpful, but I'd be more than willing to listen if you ever need to get some things off your chest! 🫂✨

Not a bother! 🤗 And same! Glad you're here too! 🫂✨

I'm really glad you had a good time at the beach 🫂. Yeah, home can be, complicated. You don't have to work out the feelings right away, and hey, you actually don't ever need to work them out. Day by day. No pressure. ♥️✨

Woah, that's really cool! I'm sure it is an amazing experience - but I think I'll just remain on the ground. I can do less damage 😂✨

How much can your cousin lift now? Is he available to rent, just for the way up? I'll also throw in lunch 😂 For real though, that's so cool! I didn't know you could do that! ✨

AI Slop 😭
I've had a sleep and decided that I'm going to tell you exactly who the people are that I mentioned in my last post about being disheartened to see AI here on Pixelfed.
1) The ladybird/bug "photo" by Ducgris
2) The Amsterdam Canal "photo" by Jessnatarte (or as @NYSloth deduced - "Just not art')
What gets me as well is putting your own name on it and pretending you took this "photo". 🤬
I've decided to tell you because letting these things go, especially at a time like this where AI is becoming a significant problem, is just helping these AI users.
And maybe you don't care. Fine. But at least be informed and aware.

No Damsel in Distress Here! 👸🏻for #macromittwoch
I think this is a Common Winter Damselfly or Sympecma Fusca. It's on a branch of a Curry Plant or Helichrysum Italicum. (On a hot day these smell like maple syrup... I talk a lot about what things smell like on this platform actually 😂) ✨

One of the oldest churches in Bologna (it's actually a Basilica since 1941). It was founded in 1217. And in the15th and 16th centuries it had some renovation done on it - including this door. The door and the artwork in the lunette is dated 1531 and are attributed to Francesco Manzini. ✨

Bee in my Bonnet 🤬 for #flowerfriday
Alright, I'm getting this off my chest. I understand that there is no real clear stance on AI "photos" here, but I think it's shit, okay?
So, here's my issue. I see AI on the trending page sometimes and I find it incredibly disheartening. Especially considering how much work and effort that everyone else goes through for their art/photos.
A few weeks ago there was a ladybird which made it to the trending page.
Today there's another picture that I am pretty sus of. Because I cannot find one other photo from the internet that matches the surroundings.
I'm sure there are other examples that I am not aware of either. However, I firmly believe that GenAI has no place in art.
That's the bee in my bonnet this evening.
