A smile and a thank you for every customer service worker you encounter, even on the phone. All of these things change lives for the better. All of these things will bring happiness to someone on what could be the worst day of their life. Kindness and Compassion are strength.

Things that would completely shut me down ten years ago still stress me way out now, but I can handle it long enough to get through and decompress in a healthy way now.

@skeletor@mas.to The most important thing I've ever done is stopping to sit and talk with someone who needed it. I never got her name, but I fed her, listened to her, told her I believed in her, and encouraged her as best I could. I have no idea how much of a difference I made in her life. But if my time on the other side of the situation is anything to go by, just having someone take her seriously helped. I choose to believe that she is now happy and safe.
