Okay...so yesterday I wrote 8 cover letters which was fun, but very draining and I need a break so today will just be an art focused day.

Lights have been flickering all morning so im just going to call today a vacation day and hold off on business related things.
Writing cover letters has been interesting. Im not down on myself or anything, but it oddly feels therapeutic because you have to write about yourself in a positive way(that of course is also to sell yourself). I've never liked talking about myself, bragging, etc...but it does have a weird way of making a person realize "hey I'm pretty awesome" and reflect on professional accomplishments.
Thinking i might do a kind of "1 year with the switch 2" long form post. I think it'd be fun to write, but also an interesting restrospective of sorts on the console of things i like, dislike, social "impact", and thoughts on where things might go as the industry and the world deals with....THINGS
Since I can't reliably do much digital work this weekend I started on my GWCC entry unboxing Greifen Barracuda and Madoka Yuki. I also sketched out a rough idea of what I'm planning for the project while priming a set of spoons to test the Gaahleri flesh tones and other colours I have in mind.

Can't do too much digital work I guess. Luckily I have a UPS or I'd have lost the work I was doing tonight as powers been fluctuating several times today. So just going to make some tea, switch over to traditional art, and work on my model kit project until storms pass.
My favourite question for devs that get to name their project branches is what species they use. I often use different types of bats to name my projects and branches.
Hats off to all the workers keeping the power going and returning service the several times its gone out. Especially in this wild weather lately. Yesterday wasn't too bad, but I don't think I've lost power so many times in a span of several days.
Yeah, never mind...today is focused on navigating the madness that is health care in the US since mine was terminated. I got to scribble during breakfast at least so that's something.
Weather and power seem to be stable today, so I'm going to try getting back to work on commissions and art after I apply to a couple of more jobs today. Try to get as much done before the next string of thunderstorms roll in later this week, but it should be a nice and quiet day.
A friend had me watch a cartoon called Chainsmoker Cat with them. I can see it turning some folks away and it comes out the gate swinging hard. Its hard to gauge with 1 episode, but I think because I've known people and seen first hand how addicts struggle the series has some potential to do good.
Monday should be the last day of Thunderstorms hopefully, but I am working today on a solution in the meantime to do work on my laptop and tablet I got working again last night. The downside to working digital...
May consider having an option for scanned traditional for commissions.
