I thought the iconic logo of Catodon :catodon: called 'Psipsipsi' could be made an emoji set to complement its rebirth. So anyone feel free to copy any or all to your own instance.

I was curious about :threads: Threads (as compared to :X_twitter: and :bluesky: Bluesky) but I deleted my Facebook account years ago and want nothing with them. Thankfully others have made the sacrifice and I'll leave you with great insight from a quote from @matdevdug@c.im:
"Threads was worthless because it’s the most boring social media website ever imagined. It’s a social media network designed by brands for brands, like if someone made a cable channel that was just advertisements and meta commentary about the advertisements you just saw. Billions of dollars at their disposal and Meta made a hot new social media network with the appeal of junk mail."
There is truly a boom of AI slop. Search results have become even more unreliable!
RE: @Rycaut@mastodon.social
How to use AI everyday, stop caring too much about everything. ..and that's how you use Apathy Intelligence.
"Somebody made an analogy that calling LLMs AI behavior is like getting close to creating a conscious computer is like when people in the 18th century discovered galvanism and though because they could make a dead frog's leg twitch with electricity that they were close to being able to raise the dead."That is not a great analogy. Even though I was informed by multiple people on a recent similar post that Defibrillators only reset the heart of a person experiencing cardiac arrhythmia meaning that is not a true revival. That it helps prevent a person from dying; not bringing a dead person back to life. That is a modern medical understanding and perspective.
But let me ask you: If you had a cardiac arrest before the 1950s, what were the chances of being revived? If not cero, close to it.
Before modern medicine, cardiac arrest was viewed as an irreversible process. CPR and defibrillation blurred the lines of what was considered “death.” It became possible to “bring back” individuals who had seemingly met the traditional definition of being past the point of revival. Modern medicine redefined death. So technically, 18th c. people who believed that were right.
In fact, nowadays anyone that experience a cardiac arrest and does not get CPR or defibrillation, you're essentially dead the moment it started.
And that is why from that perspective, electricity does revive the dead.
@jeawhiz@woof.group , @imalcolm@mastodon.social I could not reply on the other post as I was muted but, if there is anything wrong about my perspective please feel free to reply. Or not, I just wanted to let it out.
Found out that the Mastodon app Tusky for Android doesn't support quoting Post.
I might start a collection of Implicit Rules on the Fediverse.
