I do not own a camera, so I try to post and boost the best bird photos taken by others. I'll always credit where known, but if I don't know the photographer and you do, please tell me and I'll edit to credit.
Avatar is a floofy, borby, frowny birb. Header is a line of autumn leaves ranging (L to R) from green to brilliant red.

I couldn't make up my mind which of these wonderful bird photos to post, so here are all of them. 😊 🥰 😘
1. (upper left) Battling goldfinches. It could be a domestic dispute, or just a very loud argument. Due to the lighting, it's just possible that these are two females, as their feathers appear to be less bright than a male's, but I can't tell for certain.

2. (upper right) A pair of choughs racing across the landscape.
Photographer - Paul Ward
3. (lower left) A blue jay shows off its beautiful blue and patterned feathers while taking a bow.
Photographer - Deb Maluk
4. (lower right) A white-crowned sparrow borbulating either to keep warm or because everyone knows a borb is the cutest thing on earth!
Photographer - Lecia Michelle
One... two... three... FLOOF! 🤣 🟤 ⚪ ⚫
A California Quail shows off his borbulous self. Love the peep-peep-peep, too.

I have that shirt!!! OMG WTF 🦅 I have it in a sweatshirt, too LOL! 🤣 I just love Effin' Birds.

I'm so used to seeing adult Northern Cardinals that seeing a fledgling is quite a surprise. Isn't this little one a sweetheart? 🐦 ❤️ 🥰 😘

Happy International Vulture Awareness Day!!! 😁 🥰 😘 :buzzard:

"Gimme Food!!!!" 🤣 🤣 🤣
Parent and chick Northern rough-winged Swallow. The chick is the one that's... well... swallowing. Although mama better be careful that her head doesn't get swallowed along with lunch. 😁

From Wild Bird Rescue Dorset: an astrological chart of British birds. The personality of each bird is chosen to (more or less) correspond with standard astrological charts. How do you stack up?
I'm a starling. I'm definitely chatty (when talking to myself), definitely NOT sociable (I put reclusive in my profile for a reason), but I do like to think of myself as reasonably clever and very nosy. 🤣

Well, here's a stunner: an albino American crow! You can tell it's albino and not leucistic because of the color of the eyes and beak. If we could see them, the legs, feet, and talons would be pink as well. 🤍 🤍 🩷 🤍 🤍

Another beauty of an albino crow. This one is named Foggy. You can get a closer look at the soft pink feet, toes, and talons. 🤍 🤍 🩷 🤍 🤍
Foggy was a familiar sight in Sointula, British Columbia, Canada. 🇨🇦

Wildlife photographer and videographer Robert E. Fuller constructed a hide under a swan's nest so he could view the new cygnets close-up with their parents. 🦢 🦢 🦢
He's always very careful with his nest boxes and other hides so that he doesn't disturb the birds.

Thank you to artist Artsy Bird Squad for saying what we all need: the news is crap today, but birds make it feel better with their beauty, antics, and love.
Four of my BRVSK bird needlepoint kits, which run from fairly simple to very involved.
1. (top left) Blue Tit at Her Nest. This one has 27 colors, which makes a good light and a magnifying glass absolute necessities.
2. (top right) A cute little penguin!
3. (lower left) A proud Rooster. Lot of colors and textures in this one.
4. (lower right) William Morris's Strawberry Thief. This popular design is based on the thrushes that used to steal fruit out of his kitchen garden.
BRVSK is a family-run company based in Ukraine. Needlework of all sorts is an art that Ukraine is famous for, and I try to support this company whenever I can.

Red-necked Grebes with two of the darned cutest chicks on earth! 🥰
Look closely: the babies are so new that they still have their egg teeth. 🥚 🦷 They are, however, precocial, so they'll be swimming and diving in no time.

But the ducks loved it. That much algae is a duck feast!
I only hope that someone saw to it that the ducks filmed swimming through the algae and partaking of the buffet were removed and relocated before all the toxic chemicals were dumped into the water. 🙄

Where is everybody going? The number of active users is going dangerously down. 😧
I'm afraid that if everyone leaves Birds.Town, my beloved Birdie Place will vanish.
Please come back. 🐦 😥 😭
I just love this. We tend to think of tobogganing in penguins as cute and amusing behavior, but it's so much more than that. 🖤 🤍 💛 🐧
