So, if the USA have so much oil that they can afford to sell to other countries, why then are gas prices at the pump spiking?

This is my personal "hate" post. I don't care if you read it, as long as I can post it! I have to get it off my chest!

Have you ever noticed how often stylized male lions appear in the coats of arms of kings/emperors and ultimately states? Logically, it's meant to emphasize the dominance of the male sex.
Unfortunately, I have some disappointing news:
Among lions, the hunting, i.e., procuring food for the family, is done by the lionesses!
But, of course, the male machos get to eat first.

At the beginning of human evolution, humans fought their way through life as nomads, that is, as hunter-gatherers, to survive—men and women alike! Although men contribute only a small part to human reproduction, it is women who should actually be considered the source of human life.
And what is the thanks they get? ENSLAVEMENT BY MEN!

I was born into a family of Jewish Holocaust survivors. Initially proud of our biblical heritage (Old Testament), I have now, after almost 80 years, come to realize that this Old Testament represents the written foundation for the patriarchy, i.e., for war and the oppression of women.

I believe that President Trump fired AG Bondi to block her testemony in front of the congress oversight committee with respect to her handling of the Epstein files.

I believe that President Trump started the Iran war in spite of ongoing negociations in order to distract from his looming "Epstein problem", using Netanyahu's playbook!

I believe that the First Lady Melania Trump made her suprising Epstein statement this week because, probably knowing something about her husband's behavior back then, she wants to distance herself already today from the Epstein problem, in order to protect herself from upcoming revelations.

I believe that Melania's sudden empathy for the Epstein victims is hypocritical!

I believe that recent US polls show that Republicans could loose their majority in both chambers of congress in November. With democratic majorities in all committees the Trumps face the possibility that the complete release of the Epstein files will blow up in their faces!

I believe that President Trump will try EVERYTHING to prohibit democratic victory in November.

Concordo com Kompany e muitos outros que o racismo deve ser condenado nos termos mais fortes, e cabe acrescentar que Vini já teve que suportar esse tipo de insulto aproximadamente 20 vezes! Um caso claro de racismo, não é mesmo?

Sim, concordo, porém, há outro ponto a considerar: depois de marcar o gol, Vini correu até a bandeirinha de escanteio e fez gestos obscenos em direção a ela! Quero dizer, ele fez movimentos obscenos no poste da bandeirinha de escanteio. Já vi Vini fazer isso antes.

Para dizer o mínimo, não é exatamente um gesto amigável para o time adversário. "Desrespeitoso" seria provavelmente a palavra mais branda para descrever a situação.
Não julgo as pessoas pela cor da pele, mas sim pelo comportamento. Acho que a forma como Vini comemorou o gol foi um ato obsceno e desrespeitoso contra o Benfica.

In den folgenden Tagen berichteten die Medien ausführlich über dieses Ereignis, inklusive einer 12-minütigen Stellungnahme von Vincent Kompany, Trainer von Bayern München, der u.a. den Trainer von Benfica, José Mourinho für seine Reaktion auf die Ereignisse kritisierte. Dieser hatte u.a. die Art kritisiert, wie Vini sein Tor gefeiert hat. Ich stimme mit Kompany und vielen anderen darin überein, dass Rassismus aufs schärfste zu verurteilen ist, und es sei hinzugefügt, dass diese Art der Beleidigung Vini bereits ca. 20 mal ertragen musste!

Ein klarer Fall von Rassismus, oder? Ja, das sehe ich auch so, jedoch gibt es folgendes zu beachten:
Nach dem er das Tor erzielt hatte, ist Vini zur Eckfahne gerannt und hat diese gefickt! Das heisst, er hat an der Stange der Eckfahne obszöne Bewegungen gemacht. Ich habe dieses Verhalten schon einmal früher von Vini gesehen. Das ist, gelinde gesagt, nicht gerade ein freundlicher Akt der gegnerischen Mannschaft gegenüber. "Respektlos" wäre da wohl noch die schwächste Bezeichnung.
Ich beurteile Menschen nicht wegen ihrer Hautfarbe, sondern wegen ihres Verhaltens. Ich finde, dass Vini's Art sein Tor zu feiern eine obszöne, respektlose Handlung gegenüber Benfica Lissabon war.

DISTRACTION

Based on the facts available so far, no one doubts that Trump was friends with Epstein. Because of the extraordinary censorship of the Epstein documents released by the Justice Department, it cannot (yet) be proven that Trump knew about Epstein's sex trafficking or was even his "client."

In any case, the Epstein shitstorm is making Trump nervous, so he's resorting to a tried-and-tested recipe: If you have a domestic problem, create a foreign policy distraction (wag the dog)!

That's precisely what Trump's Iran initiative is currently serving.

As far as I know, there is no shortage or any other problem for the USA with respect to accessing or processing fossil fuel for their needs.
Venezuela has the biggest Oil reserves, yes!
Saudi-Arabia has a lot of Oil, too!
But Trump did not kidnap the Saudi crown prince after he ordered the murder of Kashoggi.

For many years, the USA makes trade and business with Latinamerican countries which have sometimes conservative governments, sometimes leftleaning administrations.
So, WTF is going on?
The answer seems to me:

The growing influence of RUSSIA and CHINA in the Western hemisphere, with Venezuela being the most urgent problem to be dealt with. (Cuba is next?)
Consequently, the USA now interconnect all oil shipments to the two global rivals and already ordered the actual Venezuelan government to terminate relationship with RUSSIA and CHINA.

As for the drugs, Columbia (cocaine) and Mexico (fentanyl) are producers of "illegal" drugs, while Venezuela is "only" a transit country. Columbia and Mexico cooperate already for many years with the USA (DEA) in fighting the drug cartells.
By the way, this fight cannot be won in my opinion, unless ALL drugs are legal and controlled, like alcohol and medical drugs.

So, quite simple:
RUSSIAN and CHINESE interference in the USA's backyard cannot be allowed! This "clean-up" of the backyard will probably continue, even after Trump.

USA - 250th BIRTHDAY

Born in 1947, I grew up in post-war DEMOCRATIC Germany, last but not least, thanks to the USA and its allies, who defeated Nazi Germany!

US American democracy, culture and way of life I experienced as qualities to look up to.

Today, 79 years later, now living in Brazil, it is quite a different scenario:
In the past, authocratic kings took power by force. Today, in the USA King Donald can rule as he wishes because he was democratically elected by the majority of the US votes in 2024!
He shamelessly uses his powers to fill his pockets, and turns the USA into a villain along side with Putin, Xi, Kim, etc.

I hope that the US American people can correct this desaster!

BILL MAHER AT THE WHITE HOUSE

I don't doubt B. Maher's honest and sincere intentions, but unfortunately, I believe he completely fell for Trump's rhetoric.

Contrary to Maher's conclusion after visiting the White House, Trump is indeed a nasty autocrat who can sometimes be nice, especially in private meetings, and this is likely a calculated move! Maher, as a so-called centrist, finds support primarily among independent voters. Maher's message that Trump is actually quite nice is intended to win him votes from Maher's supporters.
Well, and then Maher did exactly what was expected: campaign for Trump!
