TIL about `eglot-extend-to-xref` which solves a long standing woe I had with eglot/LSPs. When jumping to a dependency by default the buffer is not under the same LSP server so the dependency doesn't have jump-to-definition enabled. By enabling `eglot-extend-to-xref` the dependencies are also covered by the same #eglot session so jump to definition works! #emacs

I already held Eric Raymond in the worst regard (and him calling integration tests "front-end tests" does not help). But they are now trying to upstream LLM-assisted code into #Emacs and they are upset they can't do it all in one go.

> I know, but I've been systematically auditing the code for those
using chatGPT 5.5, which is very good at that kind of deep dive.
It tells me I've covered almost everything that can be tested in
batch mode in my 42 patches.

#TIL about Sweep, which embeds #Prolog in #Emacs

> Sweep uses the C interfaces of both SWI-Prolog and Emacs Lisp to create a dynamically loaded Emacs module that contains the SWI-Prolog runtime. As such, Sweep has parts written in C, in Prolog and in Emacs Lisp.

@pamelafox@fosstodon.org @nzakas@fosstodon.org imho a simpler directory layout for worktress is to clone the repository in a directory that uses the default branch name as the directory name in e.j. ~/myproject/main Then ~/myproject/feature-name for worktrees.

@cwebber In practice I haven't found it to generate much engagement. There are some improvements I could make, like scraping hashtags from the title to include them and determine an posting frequency using Little's law. But upon reflection I enjoy the fediverse because of organic content, not bots. Now I think that local servers hosted in Spanish by default + IRL awareness campaigns might be a better way to drive adopting

The sum of my personal best times in #Celeste is currently 2:09:29.108. Gonna give #speedrunning an earnest attempt. Aiming at <1H Any% as a first step

I wonder how much space would it take to store a copy of all my toots + replies in an #SQLite. Or even of all my timeline. I don't need to cache the images. The goal would be to be able to search my past conversations locally. Unfortunately given that #Mastodon doesn't support #ActivityPub's C2S it would have to work against Mastodon's API

@technomancy I don't understand why the footnote against sourcehut while recognizing that gitweb + email works well for single person projects. Which sourcehut improves on by adding CI. I agree that sourcehut collaboration flow is its weakpoint, but that is fine for personal projects. I'd wish sourcehut docs make clearer that you can send the email from the web UI as well using a familiar PR flow.

💯. Desde inicios del 2000 la #PUCP esta buscando excluir a estudiantes de menores ingresos. Primero dando puntaje extra en el examen de admisión a postulantes de ciertos colegios, segundo agregando "ingles" al examen de admisión.

RE: @susam@mastodon.social

I wonder if it makes sense to write a middleware that rejects requests with utm, igsh and other query parameters. If it the behaviour gains traction it might teach people to not reflexively share links with surveillance parameters.

@sigue@universeodon.com @kerrick@ruby.social None of the caveats afaik are, the instance actually points to the previous version of the class, which is what happens in Ruby code reloaders.
