Timneh Parrot Psittacus timneh Palm Oil Detectives

The Timneh Parrot, a smaller and darker cousin of the African Grey Parrot, captivates with their intelligence, vibrant personalities, and ability to mimic speech. However, their beauty and charm have contributed to their decline. The illegal pet trade is depleting wild populations, with poachers raiding nests to meet global demand. Meanwhile, habitat destruction driven by out-of-control palm oil plantations, meat agriculture, and crops like cocoa, coffee, and tobacco is eroding their forest home

10 days ago I found a kitten on the side of the path where I go jogging. She was hiding in a patch of grass so I scooped her up and brought her home. She was healthy, just really hungry. So then we posted photos of her online and a nice family adopted her, there she is below in her new home. Her name is Cookie. I am really grateful that I had the opportunity to help this cat to get off the streets and into a new home. #cat #cats #pet #pets #animals #love #art #petsofmastodon #catsofmastodon
