Calling fursuit creators: Does anyone have concrete experience for fixing curled up fur from heat. I need real tips what to do, I know the theory that you need to heat up plastic to reform it, but what have you used&done to get real results? And how does airbrushed markings behave?
I had my two fav tails destroyed by heat when travelling back after broken car, they have immesurable value to me and I want to restore them.

I've been procrastinating for a decade to reinstall my gaming laptop because it has nvidia card and they usually bring issues. I've been finally persuaded that it's not that bad anymore. GUESS WHAT. Problems with nvidia driver! BUT WAIT, there's even more irony to the story: the problem is because it's so old it's no longer supported by newer kernels.

@vateo@meow.social I put my links in my bio, if I did advertise more often I would consider a separate channel to not clog my main art posting.
As a viewer I get annoyed with spammy posting, and I don't boost art posts that are also sneakily advertising (unless I'm boosting an advert specifically).
I believe in ppl's ability to come ask and find you when they are interested in buying art. Spam also makes the seller appear suspicious so it does more harm overall.

I am not even human for starters MEOW and what do I do for living?? Make art of furries. Self hosting is the least strange out of everything else I do XD
Upon research my laptop will pretty much be completely useless because of the nvidia card, if the drivers are already abandoned and the free one will never work in wayland.
...I guess it could be a server

@saaste@mementomori.social Tällähetkellä omasta näkökulmasta (pks reunamilla asuvana) Helsinkiin on helpoin päästä autolla, kun julkisia ei kulje suoraan ja niitä ei kulje ollenkaan la-su. Mutta parkkipaikat on hoidettu myös ihan surkeasti, niihin ei ohjata ja jos ohjataan ne on todella kalliita, joten se johtaa siihen että ajellaan ympäri pysähtymättä etsien vaihtoehtoja tai odotellessa, koska se on halvempaa kuin pysäköinti.
Mutta en todellakaan haluis ensisijaisesti ajaa Helsinkiin, se on vaan "pakotettu".

@saaste@mementomori.social Melkeen kaikki ongelmat ratkaisisi parempi julkinen liikenne, ja sen saaminen edullisemmaksi. Absurdi tilanne että yksin autolla ajaminen voi olla edullisempaa kuin yhdessä yhdellä menopelillä liikkuminen, teoriassahan julkisen liikenteen pitäs olla nimenomaa edullisempaa, koska siinä jaetaan kustannukset.
Toki toinen kysymys on että tarviiko kaikkien päästä helposti ja nopeasti nimenomaa Helsinkiin, joidenkin kriittisten palveluiden ei ehkä tarvis olla ihan keskustassa, kuten sairaala.

Mun pyöräily intoa lannisti kun kaupungissa kämppikset ja kaverit aina nalkutti kypärän käyttämättömyydestä, mulle aikalailla kaikki asiat jotka laitetaan päähän aiheuttaa päänsärkyä ja kypärä istuu huonosti aurinkolasien kanssa, jotka on välttämättömät (en nää muuten mitään).
Sittenkun tuli se valopakko niin en ookkaan hirveesti enää pyöräillyt.

@curiousicae The striped socks used to be only knee high (they might've supposed to be longer but the sizes were always ridiculously tiny) and they were already called programming socks. I've bought them as graduation gifts for programmer friends xD

@saaste kämpässä oli kans valmiiksi semmone halpiskone missä on "ai" ohjelmia, mut ei kyl ole tältä aikakaudelta, se on joku vanha markkinointi hömpötys.
Siinä koneessa on ihan karsee ongelma että ajastus aamuun ei toimi ilman että se "punnitsee ja pyörittelee" pyykkejä ennen odottamista, joten pallopesuaine sekottuu sinne joukkoon ja tuhoaisi pyykit.

@saaste@mementomori.social Mulla on ihan vaan sähkötön pyörä joten valot piti aina ottaa mukaan lataukseen (surkeet akut niissä) ja joku talvi taaksepäin molemmat hajosi kun unohdin ne pyörän kanssa pakkaseen.
Mulle suurempi ongelma on että oon valoherkkä (hyvä pimeänäkö) niin ne kapeaspektriset ledilamput vaan häiritsee ja häikäisee, sama ongelma autoilussakin... nyt oon ihan viikko sitten testaillu filtteröityjä laseja jotka poistaa sinisen aallonpituuden ja se saattaa kyllä ratkasta ongelman vihdoinkin.

@AlexaFontanilla2024 Jyväskylä was also really decent to cycle at in winter (especially the rantaraitti but also going towards off city), but here in "country side" of uusimaa is just depressing, mostly danger of being hit by both cars going way too fast and way too close and (insane amounts of) deer 🙃 there's no alternative small roads or forest trails anywhere within easy reach.
