White hispanic millenial, cis-het, ambulatory wheelchair user, sff fan, and stay-at-home parent. I am like an onion, in that I contain layers and they all smell sort of like garlic.
Genocide/apartheid apologists, chavistas, and cops not welcome.
The day may come when I learn to moderate my kimchi fried rice servings!
But it is not this day!
@stelepami@mspsocial.net The new profile pic/display name combo really threw me just now. Got a notification from what I assumed was some random person I've never interacted with before.😅
It's a beautiful day out, and I'm really glad because I just took the power chair for a 4 mile round-trip "walk" to bring meds to my kid's school.
Minnesota Book Awards last night were a little weird because it's one of the only times in the last ten years or so I can remember there not being an Erdrich sister or Kao Kalia Yang in the nominations. But Sun Yung Shin got a well-deserved special award and Douglas Kearney's speech for winning poetry was excellent (shouted out anti-ICE school patrollers, fash falling on their asses, and insisting on using the word fascism instead of mealy-mouthed niceties).
Imagine calling yourself Clavicular and not intentionally pulverizing your collarbone. Obviously dude should have gone with Mandibular
Upside: Pain is low enough that I planted a few things in the garden.
Downside: I meant to buy 2 cardinal flowers but actually bought 1 cardinal flower and one lobelia.
Upside: While I was finishing up an older woman sat on my sidewalk bench and thanked me for putting it out there because her walk was longer than she intended. I love when people use the bench, the city should have many, many more of them.
It's Nakba Day. 78 years later and things have somehow only gotten WORSE than the initial carefully planned ethnic cleansing of hundreds of villages. Shame on all of us. #Palestine
Fucking NIMBY fucking carbrained goddamn fucking boomers will fucking exasperate me to death.
I wouldn't have thought I could love Sigur Ros more (their show a couple decades ago at the State Theater is the single best concert I've ever been to in my life by far). And yet here we are.
The knots people will twist themselves in to justify liveposting the genocide singing show on here are WILD. Like, fail morality tests you'd give a toddler level shit.
My little nibling's birthday is coming up. Anyone know if there's a board book edition of "How to Blow Up a Pipeline" yet?
