Beaver artwork.
I went out to quick catch a bit of light between the clouds that illuminated these pear blossoms this evening. I only got this one shot before it was cloudy again.
Strawberry blossoms
Here is a more traditional style #KoruTawa, in a close to square format. Generated a month ago.
I love when I find an unexpected tiny insect in a photo when I zoom in. This little guy on a pear tree flower is probably in a larval phase.
Low angle backlighting is really nice if you have a long telephoto lens and a good long lens hood.

#MonochromeMonday
A manipulated photo of a building facade.
Here is an experiment I did for #MonochromeMarch (zine=ok). I took a #KoruTawa render and then applied two textural #WindsweptInfinity stills as partially transparent layers, one with the screen blend mode and the other as an overlay so it applied only to the light portions. It seems to work fairly well, though it was a challenge to balance the contrasting order and chaos. Next time I'll try starting with a smaller grid scale KoruTawa with larger shapes.
The water is flowing again.

Some ostrich fern photos from the back yard from last night, for #FernFriday
I wanted to hunt early spring wildflowers this evening with my macro lens since it was so sunny and calm. I wasn't able to find the kind I was hoping for, but I did find some lovely flowers in a place I hadn't expected. The tamarack is one of the few deciduous conifers. It has been a favorite tree of mine to photograph in the summer and fall, and is nice even in the winter, but I think this may be the first time I've photographed it at this specific stage.

Another great collection and well-laid out zine! I like the pairings you chose—lots of interesting similarities in many.

@touk@smores.town This is hilarious! The last one fits perfectly. Did you actually set a reminder for five+ years later, or just randomly remember to check?

@touk@smores.town Nice. I wonder if there are any hidden reminder timers running in the back of my mind that I won't know about until they trigger.
Btw, I got your album on Bandcamp and listened to it a bunch last night. Great stuff. Do you have any plans to release the last four tracks, or am I right in assuming you've moved on from that project?

@touk@smores.town I saw on your profile that you were the "superhero of saladcore", thought that sounded interesting, found a collection of albums on BC matching that tag, one artist had Touk in the name, and I figured that was probably you.
Hey, I totally get it. I'm just glad to hear you're still playing around with music. I love chiptunes. That's a great track. I think you'd enjoy the works of one of my favorite artists, Minusbaby. https://www.discogs.com/artist/25910-Minusbaby

Okay, now I'm actually a bit proud of myself for quickly questioning the validity and then zooming in to see that it's definitely a manipulated image. It did make me laugh a bit, though.
