@christineburns I can’t help wondering about the timing of the announcement. Ideally the statement was simply made as soon as they had the amended code but it’s possible it was timed to be made during the local election campaigns so that Labour could announce that the matter is “settled” without attracting any negative publicity. Being a half full glass kinda girl I’m hoping that means that the Times and the Torygraph are going to loathe it.

@Natasha_Jay AI, it doesn’t merely allow you to be wrong but wrong with authority.

@JoscelynTransient Hmmm… I’m generally not a horror fan, which fits your theory but, thinking about it, the cliched image of horror works is that the lead character is someone who survives what is done to them rather than driving the events.

@iaruffell Even setting aside the blatant transphobia in the Scottish Labour manifesto it seems like a crude attempt at a Trumpian culture war strategy hoping to draw the SNP into defending their record while distracting from scrutiny of their overtly Thatcherite manifesto with its prioritisation of tax cuts funded by “efficiency savings” ie cuts in public sector services. Was anybody actually thinking in London when they wrote it ? @christineburns

@Tattie Very much so ! I have no idea “what a woman feels like” and I suspect no one else has either. All I do know is that my mind, body and soul feel right.

@Tattie Good luck and have fun !

@ChrisMayLA6 Hypothetically speaking, if the Prime Minister was unofficially aware that Mandelson had closer ties to Epstein than had been admitted would it not seem beneficial to appoint an Ambassador to the Orange Court who could imply that he had kompromat over King Donnie and use that as leverage ? Realpolitik vs ethical foreign policy ?

@Tattie Really sorry you had to deal with that. 🫂

@JoscelynTransient If the new run doesn’t restore the Kate/Maggie relationship to where it was originally intended I’m going to be very disappointed, but not unsurprised.

@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt Not “beware low flying super kittens” ?

@Natasha_Jay This matches other comments I’ve seen suggesting that the Supreme Court completely overlooked the European level legislation in force at the time.
