I made a heavily modified WaPo recipe for a stew using chickpeas, farro, tomatoes, and kale, among other things. It tastes great.

A good stew that started with the thought "I have some red chard I should use."

It's odd that with all we know about the rise of Hitler and what happened then, Republicans in the US continue to obey Trump and heed his wishes. We've seen this movie, and it doesn't end well.
“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” – George Santayana, The Life of Reason, 1905.
So here they go again.
"America has a rogue president." A former Secretary of the Air Force sounds a serious and urgent warning.
Spot-on McSweeney's piece by Mike Drucker:
I believe that we must recognize that the Republicans in the House and Senate are collaborators, in the sense described in this article:
A note on Cara Cara oranges, which are high in lycopene.

The US is now little more than a mob running a protection racket. The threat described in this report is shameful but typical and now acceptable to the GOP. Soon, the same attitude and approach will be seen domestically toward the US public.
I'm soon going to list a set of Simpson silvertip badger shaving brushes on eBay. Details in this post:

I find Jake Broe's YouTube channel interesting, insightful, and rewarding. Today was his monthly Q&A, during which he answers questions posted by viewers. This one is particularly worth watching. The immediate future he sees is dark, but at the end he gives reasons for hope.
Paul Warburg has an intriguing and plausible theory regarding the future fate of Siberia and what China may be planning. I've been following his channel for a while, and this video is well worth watching. (I go to Settings and set playback speed to 1.75 — he is a slow talker. Listen for a minute, and it becomes perfectly understandable.)
