There are 55 languages on the disc, and also info to create rasterized pictures of things from Earth.
I don't think the science team thought that even intelligent life would be able to figure it all out simply by hitting "PLAY" - it would take a while, but they definitely didn't create a Western ideal of the Earth on it. It was a more generalized version of "standard Earth scenery" incorporated.
