@davidgerard@circumstances.run i agree. the only thing is that i'm usually on the trailing edge when it comes to devices. my main computer or phone almost always costs me less than $100. so me paying for a fairphone or a framework laptop is saying something.

@denisbloodnok@mendeddrum.org @davidgerard@circumstances.run lol. I suppose when it comes to devices and companies continually treating us worse and worse, i'll opt for paying more when i trust that won't be the same.

@davidgerard@circumstances.run seeing clippy and talking about phones compels me to ask, "what do you think of rossman's phone company?"
Replying to
@davidgerard@circumstances.run I don't use my phone much and usually have either my wife's hand me downs or some rando we got cheap.
My current phone is a oneplus nord n30. i've been meaning to put custom rom on it but haven't had the time.
Guess now I'll have to check to see if that will brick it.
I have already made the decision to just plan on paying top dollar going forward to have devices that are freedom respecting and want the device to serve me instead of the other way around.
Is this passkey signon my accounts are starting to offer going to make my life worse like seemingly ever other change any company makes ever?
Oh? The world hasn't ended? I guess that's been pushed back to tomorrow.
Just watched a 5 min video on how Max and 99 met. Makes me want to rewatch get smart.
I'm sick and tired of hearing people say things like, "The American people disapprove of Trump's policy of X".
We are NOT. The American people are onboard with whatever Trump says and does. So much so that we voted for him, not once but TWICE.
Don't think for a minute we will not vote for him a 3rd time. The current Constitution be damned!!
I ask this question from time to time but never get an answer that survives even one follow up question...
When was the last time America was great?
got one hell of a flu situation going on here.
so my company's stock dropped 55% in one day.
that's a bit unsettling.

@davidgerard@circumstances.run i was thinking of changing providers when i'd heard of it. i'm slow and lazy so it will probably be a month or so but i might give it a try if for no other reason than i like to promote the general things he does.

@garpu@mastodon.online i don't know what i got. neither of us leave the house much so i didn't get tested.
i'm past it now except for a bit of a lingering cough.
