Me: When Americans misspell ‘Ottawa’, I experience it as a microaggression.
Partner: How are they misspelling ’Ottawa’?
Me: With two O’s.
Partner, looking at me like I’ve grown another head: ‘OOTTAWA’?

In Edmonton we lived above (WAY above) a beloved downtown pub. In 2018 the NDP government passed a law that allowed bars to open for the duration of the men’s hockey gold medal game (at like 4am), so we got up early for it and headed down. We all wore our pyjamas! I will be thinking of that Sunday.
It is not normal how much thought we’ve been putting into how to celebrate our cats’ birthday next week, but here we are.
Extra-special cat treats for the birthday girls!

Tonight we are at a concert in a building where we attended a federal NDP convention in 2009. Tonight, though, we WALKED here. From our HOUSE.
What even is time?
Someone in one of the gardening social media communities I lurk on is complaining about Japanese beetles. I thanked them for reminding me that there are worse things than gross piles of discoloured snow in early March. 😳
