Anyone else look at the news and feel they are living in a shitty plotless dystopian sci-fi?
What a lovely day.
Been working in the garden, chopping logs, barrowing wood chip and drinking cool water in between.
Little to no screen time all day, although my heart did skip a beat earlier when I peeked at my email to find out my 200lt wheel barrow had been dispatched.
Who'd have thought I'd find such solace in this new found agripleasure.
Can't get my head around the mystical propagation with #Meshcore
I can hit zero nodes from my house but the moment I head down the hill into the woods I'm seeing stuff 200 miles away. Weird.
Pigeon Man.

As I dial back from many of the more nefarious platforms on the web, I do not regret the gazillion or so hours I've spent on them.
I would not have met many of you if I hadn't been chatting across these places.
The #fotoapp have got some cool features in the pipes. If you're on there let's connect -> https://the.fotoapp.co/documentally

Now playing #Vinyl...
I started with #Motorhead then moved to #MSG live and finally we have #JacksonCFrank.
Seventy Three callsigns. And a new shack.

Love my RigExpert Pro and it looks like they have a sale on.

This is me testing my new 4m antenna. #hamradio
Great day in #edinburgh enjoying #whisky and #vinyl with friends.
My new favourite tool. A #GransforsBruk Splitting Maul.
I bloody love it. It's working hard at reducing our need for heating oil. The more logs I split, the longer we have warm winters. I think I already have two in the bag.
Watching the #Artemis launch. https://www.youtube.com/live/Tf_UjBMIzNo

Photos of the earth taken now and then. Then being 1972 (on the right) .
Anyone else think the Earth looks filthy right now? Like it needs a good scrub?
Another day in the office.
In this week's meandering link-fest there’s 3d printed food, solar tech, weird skies & loads of other stuff.
I also skirt the idea that although our systems feel increasingly brittle, perhaps we can come together & somehow start again. https://open.substack.com/pub/documentally/p/civilisation-is-revivable-571

Thanks again to @ernmander@squatch.online for sharing and caring for another fantastic #AudioMo. Can’t believe we have reached day 30 already.
This week has been a doozy for mishaps. I fell off a ladder, had my ear slashed by a shuriken star shaped piece of wood while splitting logs, head butted a plum tree branch at high speed while on a ride on mower... and now I think I might have tripped over the power cable that feeds Bluesky.
Although it might just be a random extension lead.
Has that rocket done it's thing yet?
MOT passed. Bring on the summer and Scottish twisty roads.
You won’t believe what everyone is suddenly talking about.
A simple shift, into a full-blown movement.
Experts are stunned.
Insiders watching closely.
Not everything is as it seems.
The truth may surprise you.
Ask yourself...
Before you scroll any further.
Are you ready for what comes next?
Because once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
This changes everything.
So don’t miss out.
Do you know what this might mean for you?
Think about it.
I’m off to bed.
2166 words for your delight & delectation. Also a little audio & video.
Reading this now will grow your heart & bring you closer with the others connecting via this node.
But do read it now.
This message will self destruct (lock itself) in 7 days.

*as in this dispatch is late. Not necessarily talking about the lunar loop.

Back from an Indian restaurant full of jalfrezi, beer and cake.
It wasn't mixed up when it went in.
But it's certainly all mixed up now.

@stephtara@indieweb.social I’ve boosted your plea but personally have zero love (or even like) for Facebook.
I hope you at least get to back up your past before you find somewhere that cares about its users. Good luck!
Just shared my 200thphoto to #foto https://the.fotoapp.co/documentally

@gullevek@famichiki.jp I just had a 1 1/2 hr phone call with my sister. I’d much rather that would be perpetual data mining From.
Is there any landscape completely free from human influence?

@richardazia@indieweb.social apparently the photo on the left was taken at night. That’s the difference.

@ianbetteridge I see the percent chance of lift off is dropping as the weather changes. I might have to go to bed and watch in the morning.
This week’s dispatch ponders Scottish voting rituals, casual prepping, kindness as a survival strategy, remembering old friends and celebrating 100 years of David Attenborough. There’s also folk music and me wondering if rituals of survival are acts carried out in defiance of helplessness. https://documentally.substack.com/p/rituals-of-survival-574-c6c
Is this connected to their sporadic outages this week?
Every time I call my family to wish them happy birthday and have to leave a message, I get an invitation back to join WhatsApp. Anybody else sticking to their guns and not using that platform?
