Palestinian terrorists intentionally target civilians for murder, kidnapping, and rocket fire. These are not the same.

@Miriamm@mastodon.social The 1947 map is not related to anything called "palestine" today. The 1947 map is the map of a British colony that oppressed Jews. Jews were happy for the opportunity to split according to UN borders, but Palestinians were not willing to consider agreeing to any state of Israel at all. The next maps are simple lies, really.

Population transfer to occupied territory is, but since some of the territory in question is under dispute, and "settlements" mean very many different things, the situation is rather complicated.

Israel, being a relatively young nation of people who were expelled and banned from their homeland on and off for millennia, and being established as the safe place of last resort for people who have been oppressed in every other place they called home, welcomes the Jews, the indigenous people for whom it was founded. This does not resemble a lack of rights for other immigrants.

Israel does not target any civilians. Statistics out of Gaza are all from Hamas, and do not distinguish between causes of death (Hamas and PIJ kill Palestinians too, sometimes by accident and sometimes on purpose). Hamas uses civilians as human shields. I could link you to dozens of sources as evidence if you weren't proud of your ignorance. Anybody wanna see them?

What is the correct response to a terrorist force invading your country, killing over a thousand civilians, kidnapping hundreds (offering to let some of them go in the event of a ceasefire), continuously firing thousands of rockets at civilian targets (with such piss-poor aim that about 30% land in their own territory), continually attempting invasions by sea, and repeatedly calling for global genocide? What is proportionate to that?

The term was used to describe whoever happened to live in Palestine, a British colony. They were Turkish colonists, Syrian colonists, Jordanians, etc. Arabs. The Arab people are indigenous to Arabia, and their conquest of their surroundings can be likened to European conquest. Zionists rebelled against the British, and colonists who enjoyed the British colony didn't like it.
