I don't mind a bit of synthwave, but it's depressing that a lot of the artists seem happy to use generative AI for their promotional graphics. I then wonder if they're using it for their music too.

Words can't adequately express how little I give a toss about Doctor Who.

I'm as excited about the Emmys as I usually am about the Oscars.

A couple of years ago a client sent me what should've been a really nice 6-part podcast series to mix. I was told it just needed mixing and finishing as all the editing had been done using AI. It was fucking terrible. Breaths clipped, ums clipped, clunky unuseable edits that sounded terrible. I had to go through the whole lot and edit it myself.

I won't touch anything that's been 'edited' with AI ever again.

If you're calling something a 'song', it must have someone singing in it. A song is sung, that's the basic rule. I don't know why people seem to struggle with this concept.

In other news, I installed DuckStation and PCSX2 on my Macbook this afternoon, so I have a portable old-school Playstation for when I'm travelling. Both emulators already work a treat on my PC, but I wanted portability.

Working with a few Northern Irish actors on an ongoing project at the moment. I'm testing myself on seeing how long I can go before mentioning my nan was from Belfast. I managed a few hours the other day. This morning, mere minutes.

Booked one of my favourite London Italian restaurants for Saturday. I'm sure there are bad Italian restaurants out there but I've yet to find one. 🇮🇹🍝🍕🍨

The only time I pulled out as a support act it was because the promoter changed the line-up without telling me. It wasn't until he sent me the flyer that I learnt it had changed. If I hadn't already decided beforehand to quit doing live shows, that would've been it.
