I've now saved the pictures of my entire lifetime using #Immich. Good timing too because I found a NAS in my mom's basement where one of the two mirrored drives already broke down. What I like about Immich is the (local) face recognition model that lets me query images by person.

I was helping my mom on her work PC running Windows 11 and she opened the file explorer. It took, I'm not kidding, 20 seconds until it was open and responsive. I don't even know how I would intentionally make a file manager this slow. HOW???
