the head of IT where I work is a lifelong gamer, and he has a daughter who has been living in Japan for the last couple of years (teaching English I think)
today he summoned me to his office (all serious like, I thought I was in trouble for a sec) and I was given some really cool Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload stuff! she came home for Christmas and brought a load of Japanese videogame merch for him, and he's well aware just how obsessed I am with these games 😄

on to the final case in RAIN CODE on PS5, and I still love this game just as much as I did back in 2023! it's an all-timer for me
it's a game that deals with some pretty grim stuff, but doesn't take itself too seriously at the same time. Just like Danganronpa I suppose! I like it more than Danganronpa though as there a lot less edgelord behavior, and way less focus on torture
it might just have a little bit of Persona influence going on at times (minor spoiler in screenshot)

@hk@mstdn.games caffiene is a weird drug, for sure! when I gave up coffee years ago I had the caffiene withdrawal headaches and irritability for a about a week after. it was not pleasant
@hk@mstdn.games I recently started drinking coffee again after not touching the stuff for 10+ years. my brother drinks these Nescafe sachets of cappuccino and he left some at my house, so I tried one one day and it was nice
coffee makes me drowsy now though, for some reason! I'll have one and half an hour later I'll be falling asleep in my chair. I can drink coffee at 10pm and sleep through the night no problem
