I recently earned a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture and during our wetlands studio class I realised I could use stinging nettle as an inexpensive, natural barrier to keep people out of sensitive wetland restoration habitat while stabilising wetland soils 🤣
And then I also discovered it's benefits as a tea, a sauteed side dish, a seedy addition to granola, and as a fibre plant. And had to purchase a nettle fabric scarf, which I adore.
Now I find it the most beautiful plant!
