@eniko@mastodon.gamedev.place Quite honestly, I'd generally be happy with a piece of software that gets bugfixes and nothing else. The number of time some arbitrary update changes the UI for no reason and throws my whole workflow off...
Had an unexpected visitor in the apartment this afternoon. The cats thought she'd be an interesting toy but thankfully no stings. Safely captured and released to the wild where hopefully she'll tell her sisters this apartment isn't a good place to find flowers.
You can tell that the guy who invented the electric oven and the microwave oven would have absolutely hated each other, because the oven will not let you know anything. Oven's preheated? Figure it out yerself. Your notification? A light isn't on anymore. The microwave, on the other hand, will scream at you until you acknowledge it even when 3/4 of everything that goes in it is expected to be allowed to rest.
I want to try something. I have good research skills and a hunger for learning new things. Have you got a stupid question that's been taking up room in your brain that you want an answer to? Ask it here and I'll do my best to answer it! No question too silly!
I promise the results will be as accurate as I can find, and as detailed as I can fit in a post, which isn't perfect but is surely better than an AI
Watching through Babylon 5 for the first time. The bold 90s sci-fi drama that dares to ask the question: "What if in the future, we all just kinda decide to be American."
The man wakes up. He takes his pull at the machine. No luck today. He's a bit worse off than he was yesterday. He can't remember the last time he won. It happened in the past. A little bit here, a little there. Maybe tomorrow it'll happen again. He's worse off than when he first started pulling the machine, everyone is. But sometimes you win so you keep playing.
