My favourite part about workplace training, is how 99% of the time I can skip the video and book, and still ace the quiz meant to make sure I watched the video and read the book.

@Starcross@mk.absturztau.be LinkedIn sent me an alert today about a job post. But the original post was made like 7 days ago. I think the person is legit themselves (I could probably nuke almost all of my connections and not impact anything meaningful). But they were talking about a company needing a bunch of short term people. I checked out the company's profile on LinkedIn, and it had no jobs not any mention of looking for anyone. And even their own website had no links to any kind of job. And maybe this is entirely a "through networking only" type of job, just feels off.

@aimeeble@tech.lgbt yeah, I had a couple that tried to be sneaky. Some watch to make sure the video is played in its entirety to unlock. I could just mute my speakers and watch TV while eating lunch. But I found one I could just scrub the video a bit to fuck up it’s time count because math is hard for web devs. One I found if I opted for the accessible version it would give me the transcript, I could scroll to the bottom of it and it’d unlock. While I usually get annoyed interacting with sloppy dev work, sometimes I enjoy the fruits of an unskilled person floundering through a job they’re unqualified for.

@Starcross@mk.absturztau.be my immediate expectation was you were using some custom domain (I love when platforms reject the domains i own because they use modern TLDs), but to not be able to send to gmail.com is a special kind of failure. May the model’s collapse be glorious and dangerous to the people that chose and made it.

@axbom in Canada, our tax forms have a "share my info with Elections Canada" checkbox to register ourselves to vote. I'm not sure of the process to register otherwise.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social update the disk to using modern techniques, so it stores infinitely more space. Then fix it into a cabinet with clear sides; like those old reel to reel style ones. Then line up a stack of those against a wall, and you've got a bitchin' start to a lair.
