I've learned it is easier & less damaging to follow & acknowledge your instincts rather than question them or yourself. If you're wrong, you can accept & learn from that, which is easier than healing the deep little cuts of self-doubt inflicted upon your spirit.
Even if you don't have the vocabulary to determine what exactly is off, something IS off & that's enough. By off, I don't necessarily mean negative (though it is a possibility) but rather incompatible. Regardless, it's off, and that is guidance enough.
