Question for #ActuallyAutistic folx who mask:
Do you feel like your masking extends to your home?
What I mean is: do you feel like you carefully prepare your home for any visitors to make it look acceptable to them before they arrive?
And does the idea of having visitors without preparing your home for them beforehand absolutely terrify you? Like being seen without your mask?
I am wanting to relax this part of me and welcome people into my imperfect home, but I keep getting overwhelmed by needing to analyse absolutely everything through the visitor’s eyes. I don’t want to do this and want to find ways to break the habit and anxieties. Socials (low key 1-to-1s, nothing fancy) would be so much easier if I could host.

Maybe I really am learning some bird songs/calls?! This still felt like a guess though. And multiple choice from a limited list of options is very helpful 😁 Definitely had to look up size on RSPB website.
