While I knew the change was coming, the dovecot package on a rolling release platform updated without me noticing until I tried to access the service.
The combination of change in both the syntax and the directives made this surprisingly difficult until I finally realised how the new syntax enabled the config to be structured multiple ways depending on how you want to group the directives.
`dovecot_config_version` and `dovecot_storage_version` go at the top.

Some of us run several desktop and laptop systems and platforms concurrently and limiting all options to one "main" system eliminates substantial diversity, such as snaps on Ubuntu vs. AUR on Arch vs. Flatpak.
