The Cure perform “Just Like Heaven” | Rock Hall 2019 Induction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NuNPc160K0 #TheCure #JustLikeHeaven #Music

It was a difficult theme this week for #JukeboxFridayNight#PersonalPlaylist I have a high churn for favourites as I’m always on the lookout for new bands. I also have a million different memories associated to different songs/bands. However there is one band that has endured. #TheCure. First saw them live at Glastonbury and was wow’d. They were the first band I took my daughter to see live (Auckland 2016), starting her shared love of live music. And of all the songs The Forest is still my favourite, I’ve even used it as a soundtrack for this video. The Cure A Forest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqj71phqiQg

RE: https://mastodon.online/@TG_Esq/116900543313857051 This album is also a reminder why we need artists who are producing art about the experiences of getting older. There's a lot of ageism in people's responses to music, as if the performers should strut around in their youth and vigour, singing about angst and sex, and go away when they begin to remind us that we all get old - if we're lucky. From End Song: I'm outside in the dark wondering how I got so old #TheCure #music

For a moment I was 15 again #thecure #music #dublin fuck, I’m older than that number reversed

I’m going to sleep now. I’m listening to ‘Lullaby’ by the Cure and everything. So I’ll be nodding off as soon as these nightmarish images leave my head. #TheCure
