You should read the reasoning for the AI policy that explains very well why the use of LLMs is the actually unethical thing here: https://docs.nura.eco/policies-and-processes/development/ai-policy.html#reasoning This thread by Casey goes more into the impact that allowing LLM usage would in her opinion have on the community/project: https://social.treehouse.systems/@cas/117347732017118902

I read recently that in societies where empathy increases, justice decreases. It puzzled me at first, but it makes sense. Philanthropy is all about compassion and empathy – giving. But that doesn't make it fair. In fact, often it’s another way of making sure some are benefactors and can feel great about themselves, while others are poor and crushed and have to feel permanently grateful if they get anything at all. ⬇️ #MoralPsychology #AutisticThinking #Justice #Logic #Reasoning

Autistic people are famously fond of logic, and data. We’ve also repeatedly ‘failed’ in tests designed to evaluate our empathy. Tests which I found more interesting as a ‘spot the assumption’ exercise than serious research – or at least, serious research into what the studies professed to be about. I wrote a thread about it: https://mas.to/@KatyElphinstone/116070156336606549 ⬇️ #ActuallyAutistic #Neurodivergent #AutismResearch #Empathy #AutisticThinking #CriticalPsychology #Logic #Reasoning #Neurodiversity #DoubleEmpathy

Leo Groarke has revised his SEP-entry on Informal Logic, https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/logic-informal/ The 2019 WSIA-volume on Informal Logic mentioned at the introduction is a nice additional resource, https://windsor.scholarsportal.info/omp/index.php/wsia/catalog/book/123 and the Journal Informal Logic offers a glimpse of some current discussions, https://informallogic.ca/index.php/informal_logic Groarke's entry provides a list of OIR's, https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/logic-informal/#Oth including to the hilarious Arguer's Lexicon, https://web.colby.edu/arguerslexicon/ and some entries in the Bibliography are available online. #logic #informalLogic #argument #argumentation #reasoning #epistemology #tietoteoria #philosophy #filosofia #ajattelu #thinking #science #rhetoric #abduction #sep #pseudoScience
