How do I explain to #picaTheCat that I cannot "turn the nor'easter off" or "turn up the sunshine more" on the roof. She meows at the door. I open the door. She meows at the torrential cold crisp rain to "stop at once" ... then at me for not helping.

I have been looking forward to this day for weeks. today is the day that my husband and I could harvest the carrot not a typo. There is just the one the others fell victim to the raccoon and to other .. perils (#picathecat ) I had such high hopes for this carrot! I knew that we’d need to cut it in half and share it so each of us could get a little bit of the nourishment, but it had grown quite thick … but now having lifted the carrot? I wonder will we survive?

She was exceptionally angry to see this cute creature. I hope it will move along and stop coming to the roof. I will walk around today and try to determine why it's up here. It could just be the water from the bird bath. (our garden is too tiny to feed this creature, it must have a way to get garbage too.)

I wake up to #PicaTheCat hissing and spitting at the door to our porch. We are 8 floors up and there is a raccoon looking in at Pica and she's MAD. The raccoon didn't see me on the couch. But it wasn't that scared of Pica through the glass. It seemed curious about what might be in the apartment. I stood up, and the raccoon ran, Pica was delighted and is still strutting around. She's a good guard cat.

I've been catsitting my friend's cat who is blind. "that must be so nice for #picaTheCat to have a little friend!" Nope. Pica hates the house guest and has been "investigating the situation" (by the time they can be in the same room together it will be time for her to go back to her owner.) When I come home I always see Pica fleeing from the door to the room with The Other Cat(derogatory) ... I hope she's just not sitting there menacing poor Sadie. Sadie is very sweet.
