Die Chatkontrolle-Verordnung wird verschlüsselte Kommunikation nicht betreffen. Darauf haben sich die EU-Institutionen im Trilog vorläufig geeinigt. The IETF has had a long tradition of doing its technical work through a consensus process, taking into account the different views among IETF participants and coming to (at least rough) consensus on technical matters. In particular, the IETF is supposed not to be run by a "majority rule" philosophy. This is why we engage in rituals like "humming" instead of voting. However, more and more of our actions are now indistinguishable from voting, and quite often we are letting the majority win the day

#München benimmt sich seit Jahrzehnten hoch arrogant, was das Thema #Trinkwasser angeht. Beruft sich auf uralte Verträge, verkaufte illegal das Wasser an Nachbargemeinden weiter und sorgt dafür, dass der Münchner das kostbare Nass verschwendet. Z.B. mit einer Extra-Wasseruhr, mit der Rasensprengen viel billiger ist als das Wasser zu trinken (pro Liter). Aber nun geht der SWM die Düse! Schon zum zweiten Mal in wenigen Tagen rufen sie zum Wasser sparen auf. Warum? Weil #KlimakatastropheIstJetztUndHierhttps://ru.muenchen.de/pdf/2026/ru-2026-06-30.pdf#page=21

@keefeglise@mastodonapp.uk If it's the EE 5G Smart Hub, I've just had quick shufti of its user guide. It's a pretty feature-poor router, compared to (say) even off-the-shelf TP Link kit, and does not present the capability that people are talking about. So you cannot fix this by telling the DHCP server inside your router to always hand out the same address to your NAS machine. You have to fix this by telling your NAS machine to not autoconfigure by using a DHCP client. Which means putting in a bunch of settings on your NAS machine.
