I finished the Our Journey Continues expedition in No Man's Sky yesterday. I'm actually glad I pushed through the horribleness that was playing in first person in the early stages as this expedition was such a love letter to the long time player base. It had me all nostalgic, even for things I don't enjoy (no spoilers). It is a walk through the game from release to current time. And hearing Sean Murray himself talking on the communicator at each milestone, talking about the development process was a unique treat. I even got sucked back in to the game itself, as the expedition had us touch on each of the updates and I'd never done the pet battles or the latest update which involves becoming a space station owner. Last night I spent quite a bit of time grinding reputation so I can take over the space station in my favorite base, located in the 256th galaxy, Odyalutai. I have a base in every one of the 256 galaxies but hang out most at the end of the line. No Man's Sky is a delight. The studio is awesome, the devs clearly love their player base. This old harridan is having some fond and mushy feelings about the game on waking today. #Gaming #VideoGames #NoMansSky #HelloGames

The last No Man's Sky expedition was a fun idea but it just dragged on and the end parts were super underwhelming. If I have to wait WEEKS for a stupid timer to get to 100, at least make the last stuffs epic. Ugh. And the rewards were kind of meh too. Glad to be done. #NoMansSky #NMS #Gaming

I have been playing No Man's Sky since day one on the PlayStation. One thing that has never changed in the game is that the "Select" button opens the Inventory and the "Start" button opens the Catalog/Mission screen. And almost from day one it never fails that I have to press "Select" then "Start" then "Select" again then "Start" several times, until my brain registers which one is the one I wanted to begin with. #NoMansSky

Alternatively, if I continue to want a multiplayer experience I just have to pick up #NoMansSky.

Here are some images I took playing recently. I got some nice storm shots on a planet I was doing industrial waste salvage on. Then when I warped back to my resort home, I found my Corvette was floating above me and the hotel (and still was after reloading the game). Finally, a strange smoke stack rising next to a Planetary Archive I went to playing some Arena League. #NoMansSky #HelloGames #gaming

So I've played three matches in Holo-Arena - in the local space station, the Space Anomaly to start the quest-line, and the first Arena League challenger, and it's quite fun for now. Matches seem quite easy, but I'm guessing the opponents will get tougher. #NoMansSky #HelloGames #PS5 #gaming

So okay: 1) Select something with nice colors (we use the dwarf palm / pineaplle plant BC it shows colors well) 2) Click on the color u want to color the OTHER thing. 3) Click back twice to get back to build menu 4) Select the thing u want to color that color (try stone or wood to see the effect first) 5) Build! Aaaand it should be the shiny color. It's how I got the pretty blue walls. And how Vul made a red and white medical clinic. So okay tho, it doesnt work for EVERY item but it works walls and a lot of other things! It is weird they coded the colors but like, don't offer them for easy use. This is inside of my house... base... whatever okay? You get to see the changes I made through the whole place.

Stuff I am proud of:

• My bug lights. I rly thought I did good with that idea; Vul says it feels "paper lantern" and I agree!

• The expanded kitchen. I opened up the roof and made it feel more open, I am really happy with how it came out.

• The adventurer lounge. I love the planets floating in there, and (eventually) I will make a new tune that suits it.

• The treasure room. OH YISS.

• Mostly all of it. Ha ha ha. I love my house.
