Parliament Funkadelic began life as the 1950s New Jersey-based Doo-Wop group The Parliaments and their backing band who by the late 1960s became known as Funkadelic due to a legal dispute with their record label shortly after that they became the #PFunk we know today #MusComEnt #ParliamentFunkadelic

This performance features the P Funk Mothership AKA The Mothership AKA The Holy Mothership which is a space vehicle model belonging to Dr. Funkenstein AKA the honorable George Clinton. Originally just a conceptual element of their music it became a physical prop that was used in Parliament-Funkadelic live concerts from the 1970s into the 1990s.
