Ireland = Big Tech’s bitch EU = ? “AI: EU Member States plan ‘digital expropriation’ of Europeans in the interest of AI companies In a leaked document, the Irish Presidency proposes to EU Member States that the interest of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta and SpaceX to make profits should take precedence over the fundamental right to data protection. Use of personal data ‘in the context of AI’ should automatically be lawful. There seems to be wide informal agreement by many Member States. In particular, Big Tech would be able to use all personal data collected over the past decades with virtually no restrictions, as long as this happens ‘in the context’ of AI.” – @noybeu@mastodon.socialhttps://noyb.eu/en/ai-eu-member-states-plan-digital-expropriation-europeans-interest-ai-companies Hey, @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu, you Big Tech’s bitch too? Shall we just do away with all this “human rights” and “democracy” malarkey and let you guys breathe a little? #ireland #eu #BigTech #GDPR #AI #privacy #humanRights #democracy

Question for other EU-based online shop owners: How are you going to deal with the upcoming EU PPWR packaging legislation changes[1] and specifically requiring a third party legal person/entity in every single EU member state you want to ship to after August 12, potentially having to contract & pay another EU-wide one-stop service or up to 26 middlemen just so are allowed to ship all EU countries? What happened to the idea of a single market? Some of the "cheaper" offers I found provide conformity declaration and authorized representatives for 1000 Euro per year, yet another cost-of-doing-business fee for ever increasing bureaucracy demands... The law has no exceptions/provisions for small indy shops/providers... Any links/insights/tips you can share? @therightarticle@mas.to ….. at exactly the same time that the British government is expanding its own surveillance & repressive police state measures - including “terrorism” legislation to criminalise journalism which runs counter to the official state narratives on Israel, Gaza, Iran & the Ukraine/ Russia conflict! Fourteen years in prison for speech. Fourteen years for reporting. Fourteen years for being on the wrong side of a government that now decides what opinions are legal. The Epstein elite everywhere are seeing the writing on the wall & they’re running scared! And we’re supposed to believe that Russia, China, Iran & other repressive regimes are the only “bad guys” in the neighbourhood! #UK #Labour #Terrorism #Dictatorship #Repression #Journalism #Legislation #Starmer #Burnham
