Harry and Meghan furious over the latest royal biography: "Conspiracy theories"
Harry and Meghan have accused Tom Bower, author of a new biography of the British royal family, of “conspiracy theory and melodrama.” In some extracts from the book, published by the Times, Bower claims that Queen Camilla confided to a friend that Meghan Markle had “brainwashed” Prince Harry. He also writes that Meghan became a “divisive element” and was seen by the Prince of Wales and Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, as a “threat.”
A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stated that Bower “has long crossed the line between criticism and obsession.” In a statement released yesterday, the couple said: “This is a person who has publicly stated: ‘the monarchy effectively depends on the elimination of the Sussexes from our state’, a statement that speaks for itself.” “He has built his career by developing increasingly complex theories about people he does not know and has never met,” added Harry and Meghan, as reported by the BBC, “those interested in the facts will look elsewhere; those seeking conspiracy theories and absurd melodrama know exactly where to find him.”
