Back in April the #Perl NOC turned off the #CPAN mail forwarding. https://log.perl.org/2026/04/cpanorg-email-forwarding-has-been-shut.html If you're like me, you've been using that for 25+ years, and it's everywhere (and unfortunately that includes spammer lists). Here's what you can do in the meantime, via @timlegge@mas.to @cpansec@fosstodon.orghttps://security.metacpan.org/2026/06/14/cpan.org-email-forwarding-shutdown.html

Belatedly realised that I have also used jmcnamara@cpan.org for 25+ years of open source contributions and I don’t want to change that (due to the cpan email address forwarding termination). Technically I don’t have to for GitHub style contributions but it wouldn’t work for kernel/mailing list style contributions. I am going backwards through the stages of grief on this one. #perl #cpan #perl

Hm, did Data::Random got deleted from #CPAN? I have some failing build pipelines and metacpan does not list it anymore, only some dependencies. #Perl Anybody knows who can investigate this?
