@joeldrapper@ruby.social I have some contemplation about (1) and (2) in the recent series on PM blog posts https://zverok.space/blog/2023-10-20-syntax-sugar2-pattern-matching.html (the first of three, refers to other two).
I dreamed about (1) also, but now I think it will never happen (and in general that PM is orthogonal to method overloading, and Ruby already made its call on that).
With recent Ruby, though, we might achieve a result that visually pretty close to overloaded method with several bodies :)
