Yes, 10, 20, 50 years ago, a resignation could send a "powerful message" that would be sufficient much of the time to pump the brakes on a political witch hunt. Matt, respectfully my guy, those days are gone. No amount of resigning to send a message is going to stop these people or change their path.

I submit that you need to fight fire with fire. Dont resign, force them to fire you as quickly as they can, but in the mean time, hold as many press conferences and interviews as you can highlighting what theyre trying to do. *and* force them to fire you, which only proves your point.

It's funny, that sounds vaguely like a threat, but the truth is, there's no reason the subscription business model needs to "stay". It's user hostile. Saas sucks for individuals, we're not all accountants looking to amortize our expenses over X quarters. And the disintermediation of users from ownership of their software is anti-egalitarian, plain and simple.

I guess my play on The Matrix coming out in '99 and Apple naming their latest laptop the Neo, with a port limitation/standard from '96 either flew way over folks heads, or some people just have no sense of humor 😆
