I like old thing. I usually don't like new thing.
<3 C, Unix, shell scripting, old electronics, emacs, & old cute cars. Nearly 30.
(Seeking a job!)
Current obsessions include Bubblegum Crisis & the NEC PC-9801.
I draw pixel art of varying quality.
Semi-closeted, trans woman or nonbinary or something. Slowly working my way through it. I act rather feminine, in any case, and I'd like to look/feel that way. On HRT as of May 17 2024!
I want to be genuine and connect with others empathetically, bidirectionally; we need more of that and to assume good faith more easily.
Vetting follows, it's just a vibe check.
LMK if I should CW something or act differently, I want to be considerate and friendly but I don't always know what upsets everyone…
Avatar is my art of Nei, from Phantasy Star II.
Donations would mean the world to me, if you can help. Or job offers. https://ko-fi.com/wyatt8740

Holy crap, what a cover.
SaGa Frontier battle theme 1 on PC-9801 with YM2608 synth. From FMP Music Disk 6. (Recorded from real hardware, sounds best on loudspeakers instead of my headphones)
I first checked paper mario: the thousand year door out of the local public library in around 2006 or 2007 (almost immediately after getting a Wii). It continued a long-standing habit of me picking out RPG's purely by accident before I even knew what an RPG was. (Harry Potter & the [Sorcerer's, Philosophers] Stone on Game Boy Colour, Pokémon… Drawn to Life (sort of), probably lots of others)
I fell in love with it but only got through Hooktail before I had to return it to the library way too soon and never got very far. Was haunted by the save on my gamecube memory card for years. Finally beat it about 18 years later.
Still backing up my boot 500GB HDD on the server to a different one; new drive is partitioned, formatted and ready to go otherwise.
While I wait I've taken a bath and replaced the digitizers in two of my fat nintendo DS'es. One had a scratch on it that I didn't like, and the other wasn't sensitive enough to pressure - I had to press harder than I had to with the other three fat DS'es I have. Which isn't awful on its own, but is annoying enough that I decided to do something about it.
It went flawlessly; fat DS'es are so much easier to work on than the lites that they're like comparing a smartphone to a game boy color. (fixed a lite for a coworker recently).
Final boss music from Touhou 4 (not the extra stage; just Yuuka). "Inanimate Dream." Hardware recording from my PC-9801-86 sound card on Epson PC-486GR. Absolutely electrifying track.
As usual if it's not playing, I guess just try the 'download' button. #pc98 #pc98music #pc98touhou #touhouproject #touhou #lls
why do they make so many of the yellow starbursts, they're always the last to go in a bowl so you'd think they'd just make more red ones or some shit but nooooo
Lost all my momentum and motivation for this unboxing thing thanks to you comcast
fuck you comcast
"you're gonna carry that weight" is an emotionally meaningful moment in cowboy bebop and also an motionally impactful beatles reference, don't mess with it to make it silly imo
oh i spoke too soon! my modem just rebooted! comcast wasn't fucking done!
1 A.M. outages occurring on the dot at 1 AM and lasting over thirty fucking minutes should not be a thing.
Love when comcast just fucking stops caring about uptime even more around 1 AM
