#inktober 4. One of my earliest memories (like, age 3 or 4, so no idea how accurate) - one of my parents’ friends held a piece of this kind of cactus out to me as a curiosity; I reached out to touch it and ended up crying. I recall my dad being mad at the friend… #lineasketch

They now make table saws that stop instantly the moment they touch human skin. I never would have thought of that! I’m delighted. Adding this to my mental list of things that have gotten better in my lifetime. (The fact that kids can get vaccinated for chicken pox is also on the list. And that the hole in the ozone layer is shrinking!)
