i'll have to send an e-mail when i get back home (or set up a mail client on my portable setup but i can't be bothered)

the guy had quite the sense of humor

@prettygood@socially.drinkingatmy.computer @genchu@sakurajima.social apparently the meta is to either use Psi+ or the version 0.16.9 of Gajim i use Psi+ it is bearable enough

my JBL speaker for bicycle is starting to make a weird noise and of course that kind of electronics is completely sealed up and impossible to tear apart without destroying it entirely

might end up crafting my own speaker system for the bike, got old pc speakers that could be used for that

how come AV1 took off instantly but nobody cared for VP8 or VP9 ?

@dillo@fosstodon.org we need a key that would act like right click

one of the good female youtubers

from now on I will call "acronym girl" the kind of lame useless people who can't describe themselves without using some lame psychiatry acronym such as ADHD, DID, OCD, INFP or FtM

of course male people who do that will be called acronym girl too because there is nothing manly about this behaviour

I'm receiving spam calls from INDIANA of all places on my french phone number

new LLM technology that might change everything for local inference, 1-bit LLM with good quality apparently

need to wait for this to be merged into normal koboldcpp tho

(this sound surprisingly similar to what we been telling everyone to do since the beginning of the internet)

@foundring:1@odysee.com

you can drastically improve the photo quality of some smartphones by disabling a post processing feature called edge enhencement

i will be forever grateful to not be insane to the point where i'd literally have to be skezzed out all day long just to exist in society

althou i'm almost sure the majority of people on prescription psychoactive could easily thrive without that if they just tried hard enough like i do

they're just being gaslighted into thinking they're seriously fucked up, just like trans ppl are gaslighted into thinking gender is a thing

today is garbage day which means potentially free furniture on the side of the road

fakest AS I have ever seen, no website, no abuse e-mail address, only thing that looks remotely real is the paper mail address which is a PO box

(i may be unfair she only 19yo maybe she'll grow out of being like this)

people who agree with me are gon say I'm just saying the most mundane and obvious stuff ever so obvious it isn't worth mentioning people who disagree are gonna hyperventilate and call me names and plan some ways to ruin my life or something (thankfully i have zero followers so none of the above is actually gonna happen)

btw about media proxying, the number one reason why Matrix is shit is that it forces you to copy the entire history + media of every chatrooms on your own server, media proxying is mandatory by design, I think if someone were to try and just link the original images directly we'd just get 404ed on fediverse it is optional it just works if you turn it off

found a mirror https://github.com/linuxaudio/non

internet is a weird place you can see gay furry schizos shitposting porn with racist claims and linkedin type entrepreneurs with corporate looking portrait profile pictures posting corporate friendly projects like they're building a portfolio or something and both those demographics don't seem to have a problem interacting with each other

and for some reason the repo doesn't seem to exist anymore

Apparently Mastodon is gonna add e2e encryption to private messages

i do not care and won't update if such a thing gets implemented on akkoma

my favourite feature of kdenlive is how it says "rendering crashed" whenever your rendering is completed

(the video works fine)

also i might at some point host my videos on my own website but i need to reencode them to make them as small as possible

i doubt this would ever happen tho

the tradition of little kids lying about their age on the Internet lives on it seems
