I bought something similar to their "Vandra" (I think, looks like the closest match today) more than 25 years ago. Amazing boots. So simple (the "one layer"), so durable. Only reason I stopped using them is that my feet are really too wide.

Was close to buying one of theirs with higher "shafts" or legs because they felt even more comfortable but did not because of "packability" (was going on a backpacking trip).
