I do present an example and some sample code. But the goal of the tutorial is not *this specific* example. It's about getting you to start thinking creatively about this pattern and looking for new ways this can clean up stateful business logic in your own products. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

@davedelong@mastodon.social I don't think Julian is so bad. Maybe I'll take a stab at it…

@piyuv @johnsundell @rensbreur I also believe the essay even points out at the end that there are some legit use cases where we need closures to be escaping to capture new state at runtime. The essay is just suggesting not to always use escaping by default because it is not an arbitrary distinction.

@willing@mastodon.social Looks good! Is your company posting any essays or details about how they are using SwiftUI? I always think it is good for the community when large projects can talk about what the experience was like and any custom infra that evolved to fill in any missing pieces.

@willing@mastodon.social If you can't share actual code would you be free to discuss publicly why your team went with native SwiftUI for Apple and native Compose for Android? I hear many companies now are pushing for xplat js and ts or webviews. Could you discuss whether or not that was considered and what the tradeoffs looked like that made your team ship on native?
