Apologies for the short outage just now. It appears an automatic security "upgrade" for nginx broke it and it was constantly segfaulting. We have rolled back to the prior version and will keep an eye on the upstream to see if a fixed version comes out soon.
We apologise for the instance outage. Several factors combined to fill up the storage underlying the instance and it paused itself to guard against damage. We have checked that there was no data loss and are now tidying up the underlying issues. Some changes should make a recurrence much more difficult in future.
The backend cache and permissions issue now appears to be resolved, and media is functioning correctly again. Our apologies for the interruption to service.

@datakid it appears that the IP address has ended up on spamhaus' DNSBL and our MX thinks they're sending spam
We can now quoot.
@datakid@eigenmagic.net did you still want an OTP reset?

The brief outage will commence now. Back soon, hopefully.
We suppose you could consider it a blessing. Of sorts.
@datakid@eigenmagic.net OTP has been turned off for you, ready to re-enable.
We thank our eigenpeople for continuing to provide high-quality reports that make it easy to moderate the instance.
